One-day family nature day camps are planned at the New River Community and Technical College campuses in Summersville, Beaver and Lewisburg.

Explore the wonders of nature, develop an interest in the outdoors and connect as a family in guided walks from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 19 at Nicholas County Campus, June 20 at the Raleigh County Campus and June 21 at the Greenbrier Valley Campus.

Families participating are encouraged to pack a lunch and wear appropriate clothing and shoes for walking in the woods.

The cost for the class is $60 per family, and preregistration is required by June 18. In case of rain, the class will be rescheduled.

New River CTC’s Workforce Education Division provides employable educational opportunities including noncredit courses, workforce development programs and customized training along with community education classes to help teach hobbies and skills.

For more information about community and workforce classes at New River CTC or to register contact Gloria Kincaid (304-793-6101, gkincaid@newriver.edu) or Jeanne Stone at (304-883-2469, vstone@newriver.edu).

New River Community and Technical College serves nine counties in southeastern West Virginia from the Greenbrier Valley Campus (Lewisburg), Mercer County Campus (Princeton), Nicholas County Campus (Summersville) and Raleigh County Campus (Beaver/Beckley).
