Lewisburg-Myron (Mike) Nazar died Wednesday, Mar. 23, 2016, with his beloved wife Rosalyn by his side.
Myron, 93, was born in Hudson, NY. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After the war, he graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. He married Rosalyn in 1949, and was devoted to her for the next 67 years. Myron worked for many years as an engineer in General Electric in Schenectady.
He and Roz raised their three children in Glenville, NY. Following their retirement, they relocated in Lewisburg, to be close to their daughter and her family.
In addition to his wife, Rosalyn, Mryon is survived by his beloved children, Andrea Nazar-Maki and husband David Maki, of Lewisburg; Edward Nazar and wife Carol of Leawood, KS; Michael Nazar and wife Kate Callery of Rochester, NY; adored grandchildren Andrew and wife Kelsey Nazar, Kristen Nazar and husband Eric Phillips, William Nazar, Alice Nazar, Amelia Maki Brenner and husband David Brenner and Jacob Maki; three great-grandchildren; and a wide circle of devoted friends, including the kind and supportive staff at both The Seasons and Hospice Care.
A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 407 Walnut Street, Ronceverte, at noon Saturday, Apr. 2.
Interment will be in the Saratoga National Cemetery in Saratoga, NY.
