The 41st annual Morgan/Boone Reunion will be held at Greenbrier State Forest Saturday, Aug. 17, starting at 11:30 a.m. at Shelter # 1. Homer and Josie (Honaker) Morgan were married in 1908 and had six children. Charles and Elizabeth (Jackson) Boone were married in 1913 and also had six children. After the deaths of Josie and Charles, Homer and Elizabeth were married and had three children. The descendants of this combined family and friends gather every year. This year, we will have some “pre-reunion” activities on Friday, Aug. 16. If you’re interested in attending the Friday activities, meet at Shelter #1 on the Island Park in Ronceverte at 2 p.m.
