Two robotics teams from Union headed to the FIRST Robotics World Championship in Detroit to compete against opposing teams from around the world last week.

The Boa Constructors and M Cubed are both robotics teams organized through Monroe County 4-H in Union, and are a part of the Monroe County 4-H Club.

FIRST LEGO League robotics teams build and program LEGO robots that then compete against other team’s robots for points. The Boa Constructors won first place for Gracious Professionalism, a highly esteemed award in the FIRST program.
