White Sulphur Springs-Monica E. Weaver, 74, died early Sunday morning, Aug. 21, 2016, at Greenbrier Medical Center in Fairlea.
Born in South Charleston, on Mar. 27, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Clayton Eugene and Eillen Dineen Smith.
She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in White Sulphur Springs. Mrs. Weaver graduated from White Sulphur High School Class of 1960. She also graduated from the District of Columbia School of nursing in Washington, DC and afterwards was a Registered nurse teaching instructor there for many years.
Her husband, Mr. William Weaver, who was from the Washington, DC area, preceded her in death at the age of 29 many years ago. She returned after retirement to the family home on Salisbury Avenue in White Sulphur Springs.
Survivors include brother, Eugene C. Smith (Judy) of Alexandria, VA; niece, Audrea Smith; and two nephews, Arron and Ryan Smith.
A memorial service was held at on Thursday, Aug. 25, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in White Sulphur Springs where Father Jim Conyers officiated. Burial was in the Mt. Lorretto Cemetery at the church.
There was no visitation prior to services.
