The Alderson Miss Fireworks pageant will be held Saturday, June 16 at 7 p.m. at the Alderson Community Center. The contestants will compete for the title of Miss Fireworks 2018, who will reign over the Alderson 4th of July Celebration. The winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship.
Contestants include: Bailey Alexis Brown, 18, daughter of Kara Brown Boone of Ronceverte; Kelsey Louann Cook, 20, daughter of David and Tonya Cook of Renick; Jessica Elianna Dillow, 19, daughter of Charles and Beverly Gill of Hinton; Raquel Elizabeth Huber, 16, daughter of May Huber of Jumping Branch; Abby Lucille Hurley, 18, daughter of Thomas and Mary Hurley of Ronceverte; Tempyss Rainesha Turner, 16, daughter of Shannon and Sarah Turner of Sinks Grove; Taryn Danielle Zimmerman, 17, daughter of Jerry and Darla Reed of Alderson; Karsyn Jean Keaton, 16, daughter of Bill and Tonya Keaton of Hinton.

Contestants include: Tayler Alexis Brammer, 10, daughter of Randy and Amy Brammer of Alderson; Maggie Kae Estep, 9, daughter of Nicholas and Stephanie Estep of Crown City, OH; Regan Leigh Fry, 10, daughter of Brad Fry and Hope Lester of Alderson; Caroline Reese Ormsbee-Munsey, 10, daughter of William Munsey and Morgan Ormsbee of Alderson; Matney Payne Poe, 9, daughter of Edward and Johnna Bowyer of Alderson; Emily Grace Pyles, 11, daughter of Verle and Lora Pyles of Alderson.
