Congratulations to the Greenbrier East Wrestlers. The team travelled to Point Pleasant High School and competed against 17 other teams. Several of the teams are currently ranked in the top ten of West Virginia. The Wrestlers finished with the 3rd best record overall with Adam Zimmerman named our Wrestler of the Week. It was a Dual Meet tournament and we won 5 matches beating Nitro, Hurricane, Bishop Fenwick, Oh. St. Albans and Liberty Raleigh. We lost to two Top Ten teams in Point Pleasant and Lewis County. Jasiel Kinder stayed hot by winning 7 matches. Adam Zimmerman, Sheldon Simmons and Evan Roberts each won 6 matches. While Logan Evans (5), Josh Amos (5), Garrett Byers (4), Rhett Miller (3), Levi Hobbs (3), Ethan Asbury (3), Aaron Davis (3), Jacob Thomas(2), Josiah Solak(2) and Thomas Bostic all contributed to the success. It was a great opportunity for all our wrestlers to get some tough competition.
A big Thank You to W.V.S.O.M. students Denver Rogalla, Kolten Stemen and Dustin Uhlenhopp. They have stopped by the Wrestling room to help some our wrestlers with technique on the mat and guidance for their future. There is Greatness all around us!

This Saturday (Dec. 20) we will be hosting the 3rd Annual ‘GREENBRIER DUALS’ TOURNAMENT. Wrestling will begin at 11 a.m. at Greenbrier East High School in the main gym. The 8 teams competing will be Greenbrier East, Oak Hill, Shady Spring, Wyoming East, Wirt County, Roanoke Catholic, VA, Harrisonburg, VA and Covington, VA. It will be a full day of wrestling. Please stop by to support and cheer our wrestlers on to victory. A big thank you goes out to all the loyal supporters who help to make the Greenbrier Duals a huge success.
