Michael “Mike” Joseph White, 67, passed away on Nov. 14, 2025, following an illness at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
A hardworking man with a deep love for the outdoors, Michael spent years as a dedicated logger and truck driver. Whether he was in the woods or behind the wheel, he took pride in his work. He enjoyed woodwork, running equipment, and never backed away from a challenge. Known for being demanding, stubborn, and eager, Michael approached life with determination and a strong will that those around him will never forget.
Michael was born Dec. 30, 1957, in White Sulphur Springs, WV, he was a 1976 graduate of Greenbrier East High School. He was preceded in death by his father, James Myles White.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Ann McGraw White; his two children, Jason Michael White and Ashley Nicole Winebrimmer; and his four cherished grandchildren: Ariana Brooke Winebrimmer, Kaydance Ellen White, Kinley Ava Winebrimmer and Jase Myles White. Brothers include Darcy White (Penny) of Maxwelton, WV, Rodney White (Carol) of White Sulphur Springs. Sisters include Elizabeth Yonkey (David) of Texas, Daphne Davis (Tony), of Georgia, Sarah Madsen (John) of South Dakota; as well as several nieces and nephews.
His family will remember him for his quiet strength, dependable nature and his deep love he held for those closest to him.
A viewing will be held at Wallace &Wallace Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs on Friday, Nov. 21, from 12 noon until 1 p.m. Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor C. J. Cole officiating. Michael will be laid to rest in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg, WV.
Pallbearers will be Carlos White, Michael Oneill, Aaron Street, Chucky Dunbar, Raymond Dunbar, Justin Dunbar, CJ Adkins and Kevin Hoke.
