Melvin Lee Huffman

Melvin Lee Huffman, 60, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. at the Genesis Home at White Sulphur Springs, WV, only two hours after his Father went home to be the Lord.
Melvin Lee was born Sept. 14, 1965, to Melvin Carlos and Gethyl Sue Ferguson Huffman in Grundy, Virginia.
Surviving Melvin Lee are his sister, Trisha Louise Huffman and brother, Fred Samuel Huffman, both at home. Also surviving are his uncle, Danny Huffman (Lydia), aunt, Etta Huffman Wilson, (Charles) of Pickaway, WV; aunt, Donna Midcat (ED) of Creamery, WV; aunt, Judy Hopcrat of Hardy, VA. Two special friends Melissa Garcia of Barger Springs, WV and Mary Huffman of Creamery, WV.
Melvin had a great memory. If he met you one time, then the next time he would call you by your name. He enjoyed his tree swing and could often be found swinging and watching the cars drive by.
Melvin was a 1987 class graduate from Union High School. After all the years he went to school Ms. Bobbie Reed was a favorite teacher. He always asked if we had seen or talked to Mrs. Reed.
Melvin will be missed by all that knew him.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15, at Groves-Mann Funeral Home in Union, WV, with Pastor Jim Wentz and Pastor Terry Utterback officiating. Burial will follow in Campground Cemetery in Creamery, WV, with Bryan Huffman, Darris Huffman, Wade Lively, Glen Lively, Matthew Huffman, Heath Huffman, and Shane Clarkson serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 12 noon until time of services on Monday at the funeral home.
