The holiday spirit is alive and well in Maxwelton with each Maxwelton Ruritan Club sign and each Maxwelton sign decorated with a wreath by members of the community’s civic organization. In addition, as a community service, a wreath was placed by the Ruritans on the Maxwelton US Post Office sign, as it is the center of the community.
Open to any civic-minded residents north of the Interstate to Savannah Lane including the Vago, Benedict Lane, and Alum Spring areas on the east and the Fairview Road, Echols Acres, and Arbuckle Lane areas on the west, the Maxwelton Ruritan Club welcomes prospective members who may show their interest by telephoning 304-645-1373 or contacting any Maxwelton Ruritan Club member.
The next meeting of the Maxwelton Club will be a holiday dinner meeting on Dec. 21 at the Henning Church of God on Vago Road.
