Lewisburg – Maurice Fulgenzi Kirby, 66, passed away Friday, Jan. 12, 2018, at Beckley VA Medical Center.
Born Dec. 31, 1951, in Miami, FL, he was the son of the late Estella Jackson.
Maurice was a former mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of the Lewisburg Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness and was a U.S. Army Veteran.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carla Miller Kirby; daughters, Shanelle Kirby at home, Sonja Kirby of Tennessee and Marisha Kirby of Christiansburg, VA; sons, James Johnson and Jarius Kirby of Christiansburg, VA, Brandon Kirby of Blacksburg, VA and Isaiha Godfrey of Morgantown; brother, Edwin Kirby of High Point, NC; step-brother, Rupert Saunders of Roanoke, VA; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Peggy Miller of Fairlea; grandchildren, Malcom Kirby of Tennessee, Tyrell Fernandez of Ronceverte, Dakoda Khaliyah and Xavier Kirby of Christiansburg, VA, and Izayus Johnson of Christiansburg, VA. He is also survived by his ex-wife and mother of four of his children, Patricia Kirby. He also had a host of other family members and friends.
A Memorial Service was held Thursday, Jan. 18, at Lewisburg Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Maurice’s wishes for cremation will be honored.
