Mary Frances Sears

Alderson-Mary Frances Sears, 81, passed away Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center.

Mary was born Mar. 13, 1932, at Creamery, to the late Elmer and Mamie Walkup Erskine.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Amos Coleman Sears; daughter, Linda Burns; sons, Amos Coleman Sears and David Wayne Sears; sisters, Ruth Smith and Ruby Dunbar; and brothers, Billy, Hobert, Cecil and Cleo Erskine.

Surviving Mary are: daughter, Francis Cole of North Carolina; sons, Elvis Harvey King of Atlanta, Jimmy Dale Sears of Alderson, Charles Sears and Cecil Ray Sears both of Atlanta; sister, Gladys Hamrick; several grandchildren and great -grandchildren.

Mary’s wishes were to be cremated.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
