Mary Esta Hinkle, 86, of Lewisburg passed Oct. 17, 2025, at Peyton Hospice House.

Mary was born on Mar. 4, 1939, in Lewisburg, the daughter of the late Ernest Ray and Ada Ethel Graves Hinkle.

Mary was a member of the Lewisburg United Methodist Church and a retired desk manager in the Assessor’s Office for the Town of Lewisburg. She was a volunteer at Greenbriar Valley Hospital. Mary enjoyed bowling and participated in various church activities.

Other than her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her brother, William (BJ) and his wife, Marsha as well as her nephew, BJ II. She is survived by her nephew, Gordon, and his wife, Patti along with several great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral service for Mary will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home with Rev. Bev Colombo officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
