The Marvel Center announces that a generous donation of $50,000 has been received from the Seneca Trail Charitable Foundation.

The Seneca Trail Charitable Foundation’s mission is to improve the quality of life for residents of the Greenbrier Valley by financially supporting educational, cultural, recreational, economic and social opportunities for growth. The STCF is proud to support the Marvel Center as they begin their efforts to bring childcare and community support to the area.

The Marvel Center stands for the Meadow River Valley Early Childhood Learning Center. The Marvel Center will provide local families with safe, developmentally appropriate childcare and parent-support services. The Marvel Center knows that high quality education and childcare has been proven to improve physical, emotional, and cognitive outcomes in children that results in better school readiness, long-term health, and well-being.

Over the past year, the Marvel Board has been building strong, county-wide support and community commitments. They have located an ideal property in Rupert and the goal is to raise an additional $100,000 more for the capital property investment and to begin renovations in Spring 2019.

The Marvel Center is asking for help in acquiring this property so they can begin childcare services in the 2019-20 school year. Please consider making an investment in the future of our children by mailing a tax-deductible donation to PO Box 634, Rupert WV, 25984. All donations will be added to the MARVELOUS Wall of Support to thank you and highlight your investment in our community.
