Mark Alan Gray, 55,  of Rupert passed away on Thursday evening, September 26, 2024.

He was born on October 2, 1968, in Ronceverte; he was the son of the late William Robert “Bill” Gray and Brenda Lois Willis Gray.

Mark was a true outdoorsman. He loved the woods, hunting, fishing, trapping and boating. He was an excellent role model and teacher. He coached football, wrestling, softball and baseball. He loved spending time with his family, friends and with the students. He enjoyed being a grandpa. Mark was a very optimistic person. He was someone who was always encouraging others and he had a calming influence to whatever was going on around him. He will be missed greatly.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife, Raonda Crane Gray; daughters, Jennifer Burns (Derrick) of Stuarts Draft, VA, Katlyn Spade (Andrew) of Rainelle, Jaiden Gray at home; sons, Brian Gray (Jamie) of Beckley, Tristan Edenfield of Rainelle, Trevor Edenfield of Rupert and Moses Gray at home; sister, Lori White (Robert) of Rainelle; brothers, Steven Gray and Shawn Gray both of Rainelle; four grandchildren, Logan Spade, Devin Burns, Willa Burns and Venora Spade and his dog, Kota; extended family, community friends, school staff and all the kids.

Family and friends will conduct a public memorial service on Saturday, October 12, beginning at 4 p.m., in the main gymnasium of Greenbrier West High School, Charmco.
