Marie Casto

White Sulphur Springs-Marie Casto, 85, of passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at the White Sulphur Springs Family Care Center.

Born Mar. 25, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Gladyus and Roxie Stanley Williams.

Mrs. Casto was a member of the Oakhurst Episcopal Church. She worked at the former Burlington Mills and Hanover Shoe Company, and also the US Forestry Service. She really loved her grandchildren and enjoyed doing things with them.

Preceding her in death, other than her parents, were her husband, Henry “Sonny” Casto; brother, Charles Williams; and sister, Cathy Steele.

Survivors include: son, Henry “Pete” Casto (Doris) of Neola; daughters, Mahala Feury (Jimmy) of White Sulphur Springs and Patti Morgan (Robert) of Caldwell; grandchildren; Jim Bob Feury, Mark Feury, Jill Huffman, Erin Hoke, Hayley Hoke, Rob Morgan and Chrissie Holiday; and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers, Jimmy Williams (Shirley), Eddie Williams (Juanita) and Jack Williams all of White Sulphur Springs; and sisters, Abby Vance of Lexington, VA and Libby Huddleston of Tazewell, VA.

Her funeral service will be conducted Friday, Aug. 1, in the chapel of Shanklin Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with Pastors Ralph Hubbard and Lowell O’Dell officiating.

Burial will follow in Mapledale Cemetery, Rt. 92, White Sulphur Springs.

Visitation will be one hour prior
