Lewisburg-Marguerite Scott, 86, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea.
Born Nov. 18, 1927, at Frankford, she was a daughter of the late James and Mattie E. Scott Ridgeway.
Marguerite was an active member of Henning Church of God and Women of the Church. She was a member of AARP, Senior Friends and was retired from Burlington Industries and Kellwood Corporation.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Eugene Scott and daughter, Elta Bland.
She is survived by: son, Larry “Todd” Scott of Ronceverte; three grandchildren, Robin Jones and husband Matthew of Crows, VA, James Honaker and wife Kristin of Ronceverte and Tia Scott and husband Brandon of North Carolina; five great-grandchildren, Colten, Abigale, Brenden, Gabriela and Braeden; a special niece, Donna Wickline and husband Milton of Williamsburg; and a special cousin, June Brown of Staunton, VA.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 24, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, where Pastor Robert Hefner officiated.
Burial was in Rosewood Cemetery, Lewisburg.
The family received friends Monday evening, June 23, at the funeral home.
