An Iaeger, WV, man was killed on Tuesday, Aug. 9, in an automobile wreck.

According to Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Deputy B.A. Sloan, members of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle accident that occurred on Interstate 64 at the 151 mile marker. Their investigation revealed that Brandon Lockhart, 36, was traveling east bound on I-64 in a dump truck from RDD Trucking Company also of Iaeger. The dump bed of the truck was in the up position and subsequently struck the overhead bridge.

The resulting impact caused the truck to separate from the dump bed, flip over and come to rest on its top in the median.

Lockhart succumbed to injuries sustained in the accident.

Corporal C. W. Bennett and Deputy A. L. Workman of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office are the investigating officers.
