Malachi Free Blankenship, 32, of Rainelle, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
Born June 14, 1993 at Lewisburg, he is the son of Brad Darron Windon and Sherry Yvonne Blankenship.
Malachi worked for Ayers Construction in Union, WV and enjoyed working on trucks, but his most favorite thing was spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Christina Blankenship, his children, Emily, Ashlynn, Kevin, Jr. and Brantley; his parents, Brad (Brenda) Windon and Sherry (Eddie) Flack; two sisters, Amy and Jade; three brothers, Nathan (Tiffany), Matt and Brandon. He is also survived by his mother and father-in-law, Vera Getsie and Jeffrey (Lisa) Jones; brothers and sister-in-law, Heather (Clifton), Shawn (Alesha), Michael (Elena) and Ronnie; and nieces and nephews, Ayden, Layla, Adaline, Gabby, Clifton, Addy, Remington, Zoey, Eyleigh, Maddy, Branson and Braylee.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, May 18, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, with Pastor Freddy Bostic officiating. Burial will follow in Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, 884 Jefferson Street N, Lewisburg WV 24901, to help with the cost of the funeral.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Blankenship, Ronnie Diamond, Pat Baldwin, Clifton Senter, Michael Jones and Shawn Jones.
