Main Street White Sulphur Springs is excited to announce that the date for the second edition of our Wild Game Cook-off will be Oct. 25! Last year, we had a great turnout with some amazing recipes and we are thrilled to start accepting participant registration for this year’s event.

We encourage contestants to submit recipes using your favorite wild game or homegrown ingredients. To register, please email wsswildgamecookoffpgmail.com, call 304-661-3778, or send us a Facebook message. Participants need to register with their recipes by Oct. 17th, with a registration fee of $25. Ty Vaughan, last year’s first place winner for his bear stew, won a new shotgun from Mountaineer Guns. This year’s prizes will be announced soon!

We are also accepting vendor applications, so any retailers or organizations that are interested in setting up a booth at the Cook-off, please contact us via the information above.

The Cook-off will start at 1 p.m. at 50 East Casual Dining & Spirits on Oct. 25. Tickets will be $15 at the door, or $10 if purchased in our pre-sale, beginning Oct. 6. Tickets can be purchased in advance by stopping by Vines & Grinds or Kittens Korner in White Sulphur Springs or by contacting us directly. Your ticket gets you a sample of each of the participants’ recipes, drink tickets, and live music all afternoon!
