Hurricane-Mae Tilda Webb, 94, formerly of White Sulphur Springs, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, at Teays Valley Assisted Living in Hurricane.

Born Dec. 31, 1920, in White Sulphur Springs, she was a daughter of the late Basil Thomas and Emma Elizabeth McCallister Campbell.

She was a member of the Glace Presbyterian Church at Glace. Mae graduated from White Sulphur High School in 1941. She was employed by The Greenbrier Hotel and the former Burlington Mills and Hanover Shoe Company.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Henry Posey “Junior” Webb in 2006 and was the last surviving member of her family.

She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She is survived by: her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Jim Schneider of Hurricane; grandchildren, JT Schneider of Huntington and Carrie Oliver and husband Chris of Clarksburg; and many nieces and nephews.

Mae will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends. The family would especially like to thank the staff of Teays Valley Assisted Living for their love and care over the past two years.

Visitation was at Shanklin Funeral Home, White Sulphur Springs, on Monday afternoon, Oct. 26. Services followed immediately at the funeral home where Rev. Lewis Brooks officiated. Burial was in Alleghany Memorial Park in Low Moor, VA.
