 Mabel Mozetta Haynes

White Sulphur Springs-Mabel Mozetta Haynes, 83, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019, at the home of her daughter, Mazie, in Covington, VA, after a long illness.

Born Jan. 9, 1936, at Millboro, VA, she was a daughter of the late William H. and Mabel May Fitzhugh McDowell.

Mabel was a retired maid from The Greenbrier Hotel and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Haynes; siblings, Massidona McDowell, Monroe McDowell, Maxine McDowell, Mary Woodson, Maggie Adams, Malwood McDowell, Mavis Preston, Mazie Williams, Marie Sharp and others who died as infants.

She is survived by a daughter, Mazie Green and husband Newton of Covington, VA; son, Charles Haynes; sister, Marcella Perkins; grandchildren, Susanna Haynes, Kim Green, Cierra Anderson and husband Warren, Brittani Green, China Green, Brendan Green, Sahara Green, Noah Green, India Green, Isaiah Green and Brett Haynes; great-grandchildren, Essence Green, Alivia Anderson, Alexia Anderson and Izeyha Haynes; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12 noon on Saturday, Feb. 9, at the funeral home in White Sulphur Springs.

Graveside services will be held in Rosewood Mausoleum Chapel in Lewisburg. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum.

Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs is in charge of arrangements.
