Sweet Springs-Lynn Keiley Spellman, 73, died Sunday, May 15, 2016, after an extended illness in Colorado Springs, CO.\r\nBorn Feb. 22, 1943, in New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late Philip Preston and Madeleine Leclercq Keiley.\r\nLynn was of the Catholic faith. She was a farmer, enjoyed antique car shows, loved classical guitar music and played guitar and piano beautifully. Lynn was a great historian for the Sweet Springs Valley and Monroe County.\r\nPreceding her in death was her husband, Jack Hunter Spellman, May 2, 2009.\r\nShe is survived by: daughter, Jackie Spellman of New Orleans, LA; sister, Ann Keiley of Colorado Springs, CO; brother-in-law and special caregiver, Sidney Spellman of Covington, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.\r\nServices were conducted Saturday, May 21, in the chapel of Shanklin Funeral Home, White Sulphur Springs, where Rev. Mark Smearman officiated. Burial was in the Lewis Family Cemetery at Sweet Springs.\r\nVisitation was one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
