Lora Mae Burns

Union-Lora Mae Burns, 74, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015, at Memorial Division, CAMC in Charleston.

She was born Jan. 24, 1941, at Alderson, a daughter of the late Nathan William and Esther Elmira Bennett Falls.

Ms. Burns was a CNA with Greenbrier Manor Nursing Home.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer Falls and Ernest Falls and a sister, Mary Falls.

She is survived by: daughter, Rebecca Vance (Grover, Jr.) of Union; two sons, Michael Burns of Alderson and David Burns (Wanda) of Greenville, VA; grandchildren, Josh Burns, Autumn Greer, Clayton Vance (Alicia) and Angel Vance; great-grandchildren, Zachariah Vance, Bryce Vance, Hayden Greer and Tynan Burns; two sisters, Mabel Doggett of Alderson and Linda Dennison of Stafford, VA; and brother, John Falls of Falls Church, VA.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, Dec. 20, at Highland Park United Methodist Church at Second Creek, where Pastor Freddy Bostic officiated. Burial followed in the Highland Park Cemetery.

Visitation was before the service at the church on Sunday.
