Thirteen area students have been named to the 2014 fall semester President’s Academic Recognition List and the Dean’s List at West Virginia Wesleyan College. The President’s Academic Recognition acknowledges academic excellence among Wesleyan’s students. The criteria for inclusion on the list is 4.0 GPA with a minimum of 12 earned hours for the semester.
Greenbrier County students named to the President’s List include: Benjamin McMillion of Lewisburg, Mattison Swartz of Lewisburg, Kathryn Robinson of Renick, Lennard Schleiff of Renick and Bronnie Stroud of Williamsburg.
The Dean’s List requires students to earn a grade point average of 3.5 – 3.9 in 12 or more semester hours. The eight Greenbrier County students named to the Dean’s List include: Owen Browning of Lewisburg, Jeremy Feury of Lewisburg, Tre’ Moore of Lewisburg, Kelly Payne of Dawson, Erica Walton of Ronceverte, Joshua Carter of White Sulphur Springs, Tanner Richmond of White Sulphur Springs and Aaron Bugby of Quinwood.
Founded in 1890, West Virginia Wesleyan is a private residential college located in Buckhannon. The college offers 47 majors and graduate programs in athletic training, business, education, English and nursing. Thirteen Wesleyan students have been selected as U.S. Department of State Fulbright Scholars.
