I’ve waited almost 50 years to move to West Virginia, specifically to Lewisburg! As a child, my fondest summer memories were visits to my grandparents in Lewisburg. We’d make the long trip from our home in the Detroit, Michigan suburbs to Lewisburg over two days. Staying overnight in Marietta, Ohio at a hotel with a pool overlooking the Ohio River and the mountains of West Virginia beyond prepared us for the exciting second day of travel. We’d make our way through Charleston, enjoying views of the magnificent capitol building, and traversing the scenic and winding pathways of Route 60. Our destination, Nana and Papa’s house on Court Street!
My mother, Judy Meyer (nee Gall), grew up in Lewisburg, the only child of the late Hugh (“Doc”) and Goldie Gall. My Grandfather worked for Lewisburg Ice Cream, later Greenbrier Dairy, until his retirement when Real Estate occupied his time and kept him active. Both of my grandparents were active community members involved in the community at Old Stone Presbyterian Church, the PEO, the Elks, sitting on City Council, the Board of the Greenbrier Youth Camp, and more.
Lewisburg has always been a haven of community, creativity, and healing. When we visited, family and friend connections were paramount as long visits sitting on the porch and taking in the many activities of the area coupled with quality time with family. There is no question when, as I approach my fifth decade, Lewisburg is the place I want to spend the next chapter of my life.
Now, no longer a child, having established a successful business in the Detroit Metropolitan area over the last several decades, I am thrilled to bring the services of 7 Notes Natural Health to Greenbrier County, based in downtown Lewisburg. Having worked as a church and school music director and educator for nearly three decades, I’ve combined my experience in music and my passion for natural health to establish 7 Notes Natural Health as a center for those seeking to include natural options in their health and wellness practices. As our motto says, 7 Notes offers holistic health offerings to help you “hear, see, and feel true wellness.”
7 Notes was founded in January of 2015 as The Healthy Musician Institute, LLC. Focused on working with performing artists suffering from repetitive strain injuries with therapeutic bodywork, reiki, and educational workshops and classes. We later expanded the offerings to include other therapies, mindfulness modalities, and a more expansive client base. Over the past ten years I have seen hundreds of clients, led events for groups ranging from 2-500, and taught classes and workshops at the local, state, regional, national, and international level.
