Linda Rose Thompson, 77, of Rainelle passed away on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025, at the Seneca Trail Healthcare Center. She was born Oct. 1, 1948, to the late Raymond and Mildred (Richardson) Minear at Sutton, West Virginia.
She was a waitress for many years before her boys came along. Then Linda was a stay-at-home mom for her boys, until they were big enough for her to go back to work at D&D Exxon.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters Ann and Flinda, and her brother Donald.
Those left to cherish her love, and memories are her sons Michael Don Thomspon (Karen) and Eric Paul Thompson; granddaughter Jade Kyoko Thompson; grandson Mickey Isaiah Thompson (Summer); great-grandchildren Satchel Gage Thompson, Dylan Grace Thompson, Bentley Isaiah Michael Thompson, Ryleigh Kate Thompson, and Link Oliver Thompson.
Funeral Services will be held at Smathers Funeral Chapel on Saturday, Dec. 20, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jack Eades officiating. The family will receive friends and neighbors from 12 noon until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Wallace Memorial Cemetery Clintonville.
Smathers Funeral Chapel is honored to have been entrusted to care for Linda and her family during their great time of need.
