Easter Sunday Worship Services will be held at the Lewisburg United Methodist Church on Sunday, Apr. 20 at 9 and 11 a.m. The sermon, “Two Gardens,” will be delivered by Rev. Rick Brown. Special music will be provided by LUMC’s adult Chancel Choir under the direction of Charley Fauber; guest brass musicians; and pianist/organist, Callina McNair. The sanctuary will be decorated with a variety of fresh flowers that will help us joyfully celebrate Christ’s resurrection. A flowering cross will be displayed outside the sanctuary on the corner of Washington and Lee Streets, and all are invited to bring fresh flowers to add to this beautiful symbol of hope and resurrection.
Sunday School Classes and an Easter Brunch featuring light refreshments will be offered at 10 a.m. and all are invited to take part in the brunch.
A nursery will be provided for children 5 years old and younger during both worship services and during the brunch. The Lewisburg United Methodist Church has three nursery staff on hand and also uses a pager system.
