The Lewisburg Police Department is warning city residents of a possible telephone scam. There have been reports of a person who identifies himself as “Robert” telling residents that he is calling on behalf of the City of Lewisburg Water department and that the customer’s water will be cut off if payment is not made immediately.
If residents receive any phone calls regarding their water bill, they are encouraged to call 301-645-3776, extension 111.
