Lewisburg was named in an article listing the 20 Most Creative Small Towns in America by Graphic Design Degree Hub. Slipping into ninth place, Lewisburg was in the company of such inventive towns as Abingdon, VA, Berea, KY and Gatlinburg, TN.
Graphic Design Degree Hub featured the piece on their website. Only towns with a population of less than 10,000 were included and they were rated based on aesthetic beauty, their festivals and fairs, and the availability of theaters and art galleries.
Lewisburg made high marks in the theater and gallery category, as the article cited three of Lewisburg’s performing art centers. The Lewis Theatre is home to Trillium performing Arts Collective and the Greenbrier Valley Theatre, the State’s professional theater, performs 200 plus shows a year. Carnegie Hall highlights musicians from all over the world and hosts Ivy Terrace concerts during the summer.
Graphic Design Degree Hub is an online site that provides the latest information about pursing a graphic design degree at the top colleges around the United States. The site ranks the best graphic design, web design and other visual communications degree programs to deliver the best return on investment for prospective college students.
