On Arbor Day, Apr. 28, Mayor Beverly White read a book entitled “This is the Tree We Planted” by Kate MCMullan and Alison Friend to students at the Greenbrier Community School in Lewisburg. Afterwards, there was a planting of a lovely Pink Dogwood on the campus of the school. Lewisburg was presented with a gorgeous Purple Leaf Plum tree by Mon Power at Dorie Miller Park in celebration of Arbor Day on Apr. 28. This was made possible through the National Arbor Day Foundation’s Tree Line USA Program.
