Laws are made to be broken
Street signs are made to be ignored

There is only one “permanent” solution to prevent the next truck from cutting the corner too close – southbound traffic on 219 needs to stop 20 to 30 feet short of the intersection to allow even trucks over 50 ft. to make a right-hand turn without scraping the corner of Bella’s.
I am not a highway engineer but I’m sure the Department of Highways would be able to easily determine the number of feet an “auxiliary” stop light would have to be placed “north” of the intersection.
The existing stop lights would remain, and pedestrians would be able to cross without change.
P.S. I’m sure consideration is being to some type of solar light to illuminate the existing sign. Certainly, a good idea but not a 100% guarantee that some future truck driver will be distracted and try to make the turn in violation of the 50 ft. rule.
I’m sure we have all run a red light or stop sign by “mistake.” Truck drivers are no exception.
