Letter to the Editor: Wasting money on the war

Dear Editor.

When Trump started his war against Iran, he said it wouldn’t last long. He declared victory early and often. Iran doesn’t appear to be playing by Trump’s rules. Iran wants Trump to surrender.

Daily we are wasting billions of dollars for Trump’s war. Money that would be better spent on programs that would benefit people and not war profiteers.

What have the West Virginia Senators and Representatives been doing about this war? Not much of anything.

Capito has been reported to comment that we should be patient with Trump’s forever war. Neither she, Justice, or Miller are demanding to hold hearings on the conduct of the war. They voted against resolutions to control Trump and his handling of the war.

All the people get are staged photo-ops. There is no meaningful dialogue. Will Capito or Miller have debates for the upcoming election?

They are counting on huge out of state donors to win the election for them.
