Leona Carol Bailey

Leona Carol Bailey, 85, of Crawley passed away on Dec. 14, 2025.
She was born June 18, 1940, in McDowell County, the daughter of the late Meridith Lockhart and Martha Keene Lockhart.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl J. Bailey; brothers, Edward Lockhart and James Lockhart; a special friend, Alma Cline.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children. Marla Kay (Will) Weigel of Conway, SC, Enisha (Cliff) Evertte of Jacksonville, NC, Rocky (Kriss) Bailey of Rupert; grandchildren, Andy (Ann) Lockhart of Alaska, Amanda (Greg) Hill of Conway, SC; Trista Bailey of Rupert, Carl (Courtney) Bailey of Crawley, Jeramy (Nicole) Bailey of Crawley; great-grandchildren. Angelina Lockhart, Abby Lockhart, Hunter Hill and Fisher Bratcher and several cousins.
Per her wishes, she will be cremated and a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
