“Mountaineer Veterans Garden of Honor” Display
There will be over 11,000 American Flags on display in memory of each West Virginia soldier killed in action (KIA) serving for freedom since WWI. Spectacular by day – Serene by night with 1,000 solar lights shimmer throughout. View at Rt. 20 & Rt. 60 intersection (Hillside in front of Rainelle Medical Center).
Thursday, May 21, 2026:
12:00 p.m. Welcome Escort through Rainelle for those riding in Run For The Wall XXXVI to DC and Task Force Omega of Kentucky. Please be on the sidewalk as they arrive. Your presence is requested for support and encouragement. May God Bless and keep you safe on your mission.
5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Dinner: Rainelle Moose Lodge – donations Veterans free.

11:00 a.m. Parade Lineup (Cash Prizes) Please put your business vehicle in the Parade. Thank You!
Class Registrations are Motor Vehicles, Antique Cars, Bikes/ATV, Floats, Bands, Walking Units, Animals, and First Responders.
11:15 a.m. Bicycle Contest – Judging & Awards (Ages 5yrs-14yrs). Must have a helmet and adult supervision to ride in parade.
12:00 Noon Parade. Grand Marshals: Evalea & Gary Beckstrom (parents of Sarah Beckstrom – National Guard 06/23-11/25)
Following: West Virginia Chapter – Gold Star Mothers in memory of their children who sacrificed for freedom.
1:00 p.m. Parade Awards at 811th Reserve Center Parking Lot. Must be present to receive award. TFO of Kentucky: After parade visiting Rainelle Healthcare Center
1:30 p.m. Lunch
3:00 p.m. “Mountaineer Veterans Garden Of Honor” Candlelight Ceremony. At the Flag display on the hillside of Rainelle Medical Center. Parking along Rt. 60 eastbound street, and surrounding areas.
Rainelle VFD will direct all attending up the entrance of Rainelle Medical Center to view the display and exit.
(Optional) For Severe inclement weather, all events listed Saturday at 3 p.m. will to be moved the Rainelle Elementary Gymnasium.
9:30 p.m. – Aerial Fireworks Display – Industrial Park (Back-up Severe Rain Date May 24)
