Greenbrier Valley Theatre’s (GVT) Music Director Kermit Medsker will hold auditions for a Kommunity Kabaret, Friday, Jan. 29, from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Those who are interested auditioning for the Kabaret should prepare one song in the key in which they sing. Material should be show tunes or pop music. Piano accompaniment will be provided, as needed. Participants should provide sheet music in their preferred key. No pre-recorded tracks may be used for auditions or performances.

“We’re once again providing an opportunity for people in the community to perform songs from the Broadway or Pop repertoire,” Medsker said. “We hope to see a nice turnout of talented folk who want to present themselves in our ideal cabaret setting!”

Those who are selected to perform will have one individual rehearsal with Medsker followed by a rehearsal on Feb. 2,1 at 2:30 p.m. with the entire cast. The one-night-only revue is set for Monday, Feb. 22, at 7:30 p.m. If you have any questions about the auditions please contact GVT’s Box Office at 304-645-3838.
