Greenbrier Valley Theatre (GVT), the State Professional Theatre of West Virginia, is excited to announce the return of Kermit’s Kabaret: An Evening of Music and Laughter on Monday, Dec. 8 and Tuesday, Dec. 9, at 8 p.m. in the Daywood Lobby of Greenbrier Valley Theatre. Tickets are $15. Seating is limited. Reservations are highly recommended. For more information, call the GVT Box Office at 304-645-3838 or visit www.gvtheatre.org.

Kermit’s Kabaret: An Evening of Music & Laughter is an informal evening of performances presented in the style of a musical revue. The event will star Kermit Medsker as the Master of Ceremonies and feature cast of members from the GVT professional company. The revue will feature holiday songs made famous on stage. The evening will last approximately one hour and 45 minutes, including a 15-minute intermission. Medsker’s previous informal cabarets were wildly successful, with two sold-out performances in June and July.

Kermit Medsker is the Resident Music Director at Greenbrier Valley Theatre. His first production here was The Pirates of Penzance 22 years ago when GVT produced shows in a barn out by the Greenbrier Valley Airport. His other musical directing credits include Man of La Mancha, Lucky Stiff, Stand By Your Man: The Tammy Wynette Story and the upcoming Babes in Toyland.

Before returning to Lewisburg last July, he served as Music Director for Into the Woods at Rhodes College in Memphis TN, and Sister Myotis’ End Times Hootenanny at TheatreWorks in Memphis.

GVT encourages attendees to enjoy dinner in Downtown Lewisburg before the performance. All patrons of GVT will receive a delicious dessert with the price of admission. A cash bar will be open throughout the performance.
