Keith Helmick, 74, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away peacefully on Apr. 2, 2026, at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston, WV. Born on July 16, 1951, in Lawn, WV, Keith’s life was marked by his unwavering dedication to family, faith, and his cherished community.

A lifetime member of Meadow Grove Baptist Church, Keith’s faith guided him throughout his life, offering comfort and strength to all who knew him. His hands were never still; he found joy and solace in tinkering, woodworking, and gardening – hobbies that not only showcased his skill and creativity but also reflected his patient and nurturing spirit.

Keith is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Pamela R. Hanson Helmick, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and partnership. Together, they raised three children: Aaron Helmick and his wife Tara, Clayton Helmick, Linda Helmick. Keith’s heart was fullest when surrounded by his many grandchildren – Gracie, Samuel, Emma, Josi, Reagan, Andrew, Elaine, Graham, and Emory – and he took immeasurable pride in his great-grandson, Hudson. His family remembers a man who loved deeply and expressed that love through unending support and kindness.

He also leaves behind the memory of his brother Leonard Wayne Helmick and his wife Melissa. Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ruby Helmick, and his brothers Roy, Robert, and Vernon Helmick. He also mourned the loss of his sisters Vera Midkiff and Helen Smith. The enduring bonds he shared with his family shaped a legacy of strength, compassion, and togetherness.

Friends, family, and all whose lives Keith touched are invited to pay their respects and celebrate his life during the visitation on Apr, 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Home, located at 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV. The funeral service will take place on Apr. 7, beginning at 2 p.m. at the same location, followed by burial at Wallace Memorial Cemetery in Clintonville, WV.

Throughout his life, Keith Helmick found his proudest accomplishment in the love he bore for his grandchildren and great-grandson. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and the community he so dearly loved. With quiet strength and a remarkable spirit, Keith’s memory will be cherished and honored always.
