Historic Downtown Lewisburg celebrates First Fridays after Five on Friday, May 1. Join the fun in downtown Lewisburg – live music, art events and tasty treats – all free to the public. Everyone is welcome.

Enjoy live music by The Jarmovers in the City Green Space. Band members Johnny Foster, Josh Baldwin and Bongo Jim perform acoustic boogie, soul, jazz, blues and rock from 6 to 8 p.m.

Brick House Antiques is proud to announce the opening of the Christie’s Gallery and Studio on the second floor. You are invited to come by and see the artwork of Michael Christie and other artists and join the Christie’s for a beverage & a bite. (123 East Washington Street, Suite #2, 667-1390)

The lovely and talented Rebecca Tamea, president of Vinx Apothecary, will join Edith’s Store to share her philosophy of treating your skin and your soul simultaneously. Carnegie Hall and its featured artists will host opening receptions for each of the three gallery spaces from 5 to 8 p.m. In the Museum Gallery is “Natural Form” – A collaboration of texture, style & ideas in wood, silk & clay by Nellie Rose Davis, Joshua Miller & Audrey Taucher with Sunny Lenz’s “Summer Fun” exhibit next door in the Auditorium Gallery. Enjoy the music of Strum Sum Band as they play oldies and goodies that will have your feet tapping. At 6:15 p.m., help us welcome 85 fourth and fifth grade students, faculty and parents from North Elementary in Morgantown.
