White Sulphur Springs-John Kennedy Boggess, 58, formerly of Fairlea, passed away Saturday, Aug. 13, 2022, at Peyton Hospice House. He was happy before he died and went peacefully in his sleep after a long illness.
John was born Feb. 22, 1964, in the old Ronceverte Hospital, the son of Howard and Sarah Ann Grimmett Boggess.
He was very involved with the Fairlea Fire Department and as was often the case, you could see him riding his bicycle to the Fire Station to answer any call. He had attended the Lewisburg Baptist Church.
John leaves behind his siblings, Henry Boggess of Frankford, Darrell Boggess of Rainelle, Bobby Boggess of Fairlea, Princess Cox of Sparta, NC, and John Wayne Boggess of Greenville, KY; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private memorial graveside service will be held at a later date. Interested people should contact Henry Boggess for details.
