Ronceverte – Jessie Wilson Williams, 99, passed away peacefully Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, at the Greenbrier Health Care Center in Fairlea.

Jessie was born in Ronceverte on Dec. 8, 1918, the daughter of the late Daniel and Texie Whitlock Williams.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Johnsie Garner and Rosalie Workman Lewis; half-sisters, Bertha Via, and Ruth Williams; and nephew, Fred Workman.

Survivors include niece, Teresa Pauley (Mike) of Princeton; nephews, William G. Garner of Ronceverte, and Roy Daniel Workman (Ann) of Camden, SC; grandnephews, Chris Pauley, Bill Pauley (Rebecca), and Bob Pauley (Kathy); as well as four great-grand nieces and nephews.

Jessie was a member of the Ronceverte Baptist Church, and spent 45 years working for RIPCO as a secretary. Her hobbies that she loved include, playing Bingo, watching her nephews play sports, and reading.

A graveside service was held on Monday, Feb. 26, at Greenbrier Memorial Gardens where pastor Andy Howdock officiated.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations of sympathy to the Ronceverte Public Library, 712 W Main Street, Ronceverte, WV 24970.
