Jerry Leon Lively, 74, of Rainelle, WV, passed away peacefully on Mar. 21, 2026. Born Mar. 19, 1952, he was the son of the late William “Hub” and Mary Lively of Rainelle.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his siblings, Jack Lively, Jim Lively, Delores Fleshman, and Polly Clevenger.

Jerry is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 42 years, Karen Lively of Rainelle; his son, Jeremy (Amber) Lively of Ashland, KY; and his daughter, Autumn (Andrew Kenney) of Rainelle. He was the proud and loving grandfather of Emma and Allison, who were truly his pride and joy. He is also survived by his sister, Pat (Marvin) Vaughan of Rainelle, and his beloved companion, his fur buddy Maggie.

Jerry was an avid bowler and a member of Greenbrier Hills Golf Club. He found great joy in gardening and spending time outdoors. He started each day with Maggie by his side, taking walks and enjoying the beauty of nature together. He and Karen shared a love for travel, often exploring warmer destinations together in their camper. Jerry especially cherished time spent coaching and watching his children and granddaughter play sports. He spent his career with West Virginia Paving, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication.

He was an active member of Sewell Valley Baptist Church. Jerry also had a passion for thrifting and finding great deals. He loved the thrill of discovering hidden treasures, learning their stories, and sharing that knowledge with those he loved.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jerry’s memory to Sewell Valley Baptist Church.

A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held on Friday, Mar. 27, from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. at Sewell Baptist Church in Ranielle. A private interment will follow.

Jerry will be remembered for his deep love of family, his strong values, and his willingness to help anyone in need. He will be deeply missed but cherished by those who had the honor of knowing him.
