With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Jayda Elizabeth Froggatt, who left this world far too soon at the age of 15. Jayda was deeply loved by everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her radiant smile, fearless spirit, and warm heart touched countless lives.

Jayda was an avid outdoorswoman who found joy in hunting, swimming, fishing, camping, and riding ATVs. Brave, beautiful, and courageous, she embraced every new adventure with excitement and confidence. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and her ability to bring people together was one of her greatest gifts.

Recently, Jayda had moved to West Virginia, where she was truly blossoming into the remarkable young woman she was becoming. She was an honor roll student at Greenbrier West High School, excelling academically while also discovering new passions in art, electrical work, and plumbing classes. Jayda dreamed of becoming a cardiology surgeon, a testament to her ambition, intelligence, and desire to help others.

Jayda’s absence leaves an immeasurable void, but her memory will forever remain a blessing. We are endlessly grateful for the time we were able to share with her.

She is survived by her mother, Dannielle Attwood (Aaron Haines); her father, Daniel Froggatt; her step-siblings Montana, Skye, and Hunter; her grandparents Lynda Attwood (Nana) and Daniel Froggatt (Dama); her aunts and uncles Mark and Tyler Attwood, Vincent, Dana and Allen Froggatt; and many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly. She will also be missed by her pet snake, Medusa.

Jayda was preceded in death by her grandfather Mark Attwood, her grandmother Evelyn Leidy, her uncle Joseph Froggatt, and many other loved ones who now welcome her with open arms.

A scholarship will be established in Jayda’s honor to continue her legacy of passion, kindness, and perseverance.

Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, Mar. 28, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the GoFundMe created in her memory: https://gofund.me/309cf6a5e
