Crawley-Janet Lee Rhoades, 69, passed away Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born Feb. 21, 1949, at Ronceverte, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Marguerite Evelyn Allen Gregory.

Janet was a homemaker and attended the White Sulphur Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church when able.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ida Mae Allen; brother, Joseph Gregory and two nephews.

Survivors include her daughter, Angela Blankenship (Gabe) of Crawley; brother, Sherman McCartney (Shirley) of Lewisburg; sister, Shelby Starrett of White Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Timothy Gregory (Pattie) of Crawley, Travis Blankenship (Keisha) of Ballard, Andrew Blankenship of Ballard and Deanna Parker (Bryan) of Lindside; nine great-grandchildren; special friend, Kenneth Rhoades of Crawley; special niece, Jennifer Starrett of Beckley; and several other nieces and nephews.

It was Janet’s wish to be cremated with no services.
