Jackie Marie Smith of Rainelle, 38, gained her heavenly angel wings on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2024, at a Select Specialty Hospital in Charleston, WV, with her loving mother and sister by her side.
Jackie was born on Oct. 28, 1985, in Williamsburg, VA, to Rhonda Ruth Smith and the late Gilbert (Clint) Smith. Jackie was full of life and loved Scotty McCreery, looking at magazines, listening to music, watching wrestling, and her jump rope.
Jackie loved everyone she met but she especially loved her dog Sophie who she called her “baby girl.”
Jackie is preceded in death by her father Clint Smith.
Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Rhonda Smith of Rainelle; sister, Brenda (Gene) Goins; her brothers, Bill (Di-Ann) Smith of Marion, NC, Shawn (Angela) Smith of Gloucester, VA, and Cliton (Sherri) Smith of Gloucester, VA.
Jackie also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Celebration of Jackie’s Life will be held Saturday, Nov. 9, from 12 to 4 p.m. at Highland First Church of God, 615 Ohio Avenue, Rainelle, WV, with the Reverend Roy Barber officiating her service. Please dress casually.
