Ronceverte-Jack Omar Honaker, 83, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at his home after an extended illness.
Born Dec. 28, 1934, in Ronceverte, he was the son of the late Verdie and Elva Morgan Honaker.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Toothman Honaker; sister, Lena Hitchcock; brother, Jimmy Honaker; along with three nieces and three nephews.
Jack was retired from Hercules, Army National Guard and worked many years at his favorite past time, selling cars. He was of the Baptist faith and a longtime member of Greenbrier Baptist Church.
Survivors include his sons, Danny Honaker and wife Leta, Mike Honaker and wife Lori and Randy Honaker; daughters, Carol Johnson and husband Steve and Susan Hardiman and husband Leo all of Ronceverte. He is also survived by four brothers, Joe, Jessie, Jerry, Jud; and sister, Freda Deskins; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Greenbrier Baptist Church on Morgan Hollow Road in Ronceverte Friday evening, June 8, from 6 until 8 p.m. Funeral service will be at Greenbrier Baptist Church Saturday, June 9, at 3 p.m. with Pastor David Deskins and Pastor Mark Shafer officiating.
Burial will be in the Honaker Cemetery on Honaker Cemetery Road in Ronceverte.
