Horse-drawn carriage rides return to Lewisburg for Magic of Christmas events

Santa will also be making appearances downtown on Saturdays

The Magic of Christmas in Lewisburg will begin this year on Saturday, Nov. 18, with the 5th annual Jingle Bell Jog starting at 9 a.m. on Oak Street, horse-drawn carriage rides through downtown from 3 to 7 p.m. starting at the Greenspace, and the Greenspace Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6 p.m. Tree lighting performances will be brought to you by the Greenbrier Chorale and Third Block Rock, and hot chocolate will be provided by Lewisburg in Bloom. Santa will be around town all day for the festivities! Nov. 25 is Small Business Saturday, and there will be carriage rides from 3 to 7 p.m. and Santa in town from 12 to 2 p.m. The cost of horse-drawn carriages rides in $10 per adult and $5 per child. 

On Friday, Dec. 1, stores will be open late for First Fridays After 5, and carriage rides will be available from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2. Santa will be in town from 12 to 2 p.m. and carriage rides from 3 to 7 p.m. The following weekend, the carriage rides continue on Dec. 8 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., and again on Dec. 9 from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, is also Girl’s Day Out downtown, and Santa will make an appearance from 12 to 2 p.m. 

On Friday, Dec. 15 carriages rides will run from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., and on Dec. 16 from 3 to 7 p.m. with Santa in town from 12 to 2 p.m. On Dec. 22 carriages rides will also be from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. and on Dec. 23 from 3 to 7 p.m. Santa will be downtown on the 23rd from 12 to 2 p.m.
