The Board of Directors of Hollowell Foundation, Inc. awarded grants totaling $392,600 to 45 local organizations in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2017. Grants awarded by the Hollowell Foundation to date total $7,896,878.57.
Recipients of this year’s grant awards are as follows: Town of Alderson, Alderson Main Street, Alderson July 4th Celebration, Alderson Snacks in Packs, Alzheimer’s Association-WV Chapter, Appalachia Service Project, Apprentice Day, Carnegie Hall, CASA of the Eleventh Judicial·Circuit, Central Greenbrier Little League, Child and Youth Advocacy Center, Children’s Home Society, Communities in Schools of Greenbrier County, Davis-Stuart, Family Refuge Center, Gateway Industries, Greenbrier County Committee on Aging, Greenbrier County Sheriffs Department, Greenbrier County Youth Camp, Greenbrier East Band Boosters, Greenbrier East High School Soccer, Greenbrier East High School Dance Program, Greenbrier Humane Society, Greenbrier Valley Theatre, The Grow Project, High Rocks Educational Corporation, Joyful Noise After School Program, City of Lewisburg, Lewisburg/Fairlea Food Locker, Lewisburg Foundation, Lewisburg Literary Group, Make-A-Wish Foundation, New River Community & Technical College, Pack a Snack, Renick Community Center, City of Ronceverte, Shepherd’s Center of Greenbrier Valley, Trillium Performing Arts, Wellspring of Greenbrier and the following Public Libraries: Alderson, Greenbrier County, Rainelle, Ronceverte, Rupert and White Sulphur Springs.

When returning your completed grant application form, please include a copy of your Internal Revenue Service tax exemption letter; your budget for at least the two most recent years and your income statement and balance sheet for the current year. Applications must be received by Apr. 1, 2018, to be considered at the June, 2018 Board meeting.
Awards are made in memory of Otto and Margaret Ford Hollowell and as a tribute to their philanthropic efforts throughout the Greenbrier Valley. It is the primary mission of the Foundation to promote and enhance the quality of life of the citizens of the Greenbrier Valley by supporting projects that sustain and advance educational, scientific, literary, recreational and cultural endeavors.
