Lewisburg-Hilda McCoy “Nan” Davis, 94, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at The Brier in Ronceverte.

Nan was born July 7, 1923, in Caldwell, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Maude Spinks McCoy.

She was the last surviving Charter member of the Calvary Baptist Church “Lewisburg Baptist Church.” She was a tapestry weaver and seamstress at the Burlington Ribbon Factory in White Sulphur Springs. After the “Ribbon” Factory closed, she did seamstress work at Fairlea Deluxe Cleaners as well as privately in her home. Nan loved the family get-togethers and enjoyed cooking for such events. She loved traveling and being a backseat driver. Nan loved singing in the church choir and any of the church events.

Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Davis; her son, Robert Lee “Bob’’ Davis; sisters, Bertie Ayers and Mary Summerline; and brothers, Jesse, Jimmy and Jack McCoy.

Those left to cherish Nan’s memory are her son, Larry Davis; daughter-in-law, Teresa Davis; grandchildren, Roberta “Bobbi” Arnold and husband Beezle, Sheri Wilson and husband Bobby, Shawn Davis, Misty Boone Autumn Cook; great-grandchildren, Andrew “Dude” Arnold, Justin Knapp, Jennifer Carter (Josh), Sierra Knapp (Cameron) and Christopher Arnold; great great grandchildren, Kylie, Grayson, Kynlee, Kingsley and Kambrey; brother, Johnny McCoy; numerous nieces and nephews; special family friends, Carolyn Boone, Betty Hoylman, Juanita Canterbury, her Church Family, and numerous friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 21, at the Lewisburg Baptist Church where Pastor Jonathan Comer officiated. Interment following in Rosewood Cemetery in Lewisburg.

The family receiveed family and friends Monday evening, Nov. 20, at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations of sympathy be made to the Lewisburg Baptist Church Building Fund, 246 Grand Avenue, Lewisburg WV, 24901.
