Lewisburg-Helen Mae Brown Dotson, 77, passed away Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, at Brookdale Assisted Living in Canton, Ohio.

She was born Sept. 19, 1940, at Renick to the late Elmer and Stella Hill Brown.

She attended Renick High School and continued her education at West Virginia University where she was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority and then Arizona State University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education in 1962. She was co-owner of True Value Home Center where she worked for 25 years. She enjoyed playing the piano, golfing, traveling, WVU sports and spending time with her family. Growing up in Renick, she attended Renick Methodist Church and after moving to Lewisburg she attended Edgewood Presbyterian.

She will be lovingly remembered by two sons, Brian Dotson (Renee) of Morgantown and Bret Dotson (Krista) of Massillon, OH; grandchildren, Sydney, Grace, Cailin, Kimberly, Kelly and Caden; great-grandchildren, Russel and Oliver; and sister, Mary Jane McMillion of Christiansburg, VA.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Friday, Sept. 21, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens, Lewisburg.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of the service, Friday at the funeral home.

The Dotson family would like to extend our gratitude to the staff at Brookdale for their loving care.
